Harold Matenge is currently Head of Ecosystem Banking at Absa Bank Botswana. In this role, Harold is tasked with driving the Bank’s Enterprise & Supply Chain Development Business (ESD). His mandate further extends to evaluating the bank’s clients entire value chain, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, customers, and employees with the ultimate aim of ensuring Absa Bank offers comprehensive and innovative banking solutions across the entire ecosystem.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, Harold is a seasoned banker who began his career as a graduate trainee in 2004. Over the years, he has transitioned to various senior roles in both Retail and Corporate & Investment Banking functions. He has extensive experience across Relationship Management, Sales, Product development & management, Governance & Credit Risk, Securities & Structured Finance, Strategy formulation, planning, execution, & monitoring.

Harold holds a BA Social Sciences degree from the University of Botswana, and a Masters of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derbyshire (UK). He is also a Certified Product Manager with the Association of International Product Marketing & Management, and also carries certification in Operational Risk & Governance from the London School of Banking & Finance.
