5-6 NOVEMBER 2026 – GABORONE, BOTSWANA.
The theme “Connecting Possibilities, Driving Transformation” reflects the evolving role of supply chains in Botswana and globally. Supply chains are no longer only about moving goods from one point to another. They are now strategic systems that connect markets, industries, technologies and people.
For Botswana, transformation means building resilient supply chains that support industrialization, improve procurement efficiency, enable exports and reduce dependence on imports. It also means embracing digital tools, strengthening regional trade and developing smarter logistics networks.
Globally, supply chains are changing due to geopolitical tensions, digital trade, protectionism, sustainability requirements and shifting trade agreements. Botswana must position itself to respond to these changes by strengthening partnerships and modernizing procurement and logistics systems.
The summit will bring together government, industry and supply chain professionals to explore practical ways of improving supply chain performance while unlocking new opportunities for growth.
Because strong supply chains build strong economies.
BSCS is where business, government, and logistics partners come together to fix real challenges and unlock real opportunities. From moving goods across borders to supporting local production, the focus is simple, practical solutions that improve how things actually work on the ground.
It’s not just about talking supply chains. It’s about making them work better for Botswana and the region.
I had the honor of moderating a plenary session on "Transport, Infrastructure, and Telecommunications Development", where we explored how Botswana’s infrastructure growth could unlock new efficiencies in transportation, logistics hubs, and customs facilities. This exchange of insights with experts across sectors not only reinforced the pivotal role of infrastructure in supply chain success but also shed light on the vast potential for Botswana in the regional supply chain ecosystem.
The site visit and learning about the various steps in the process was amazing. Even better was what KGK does for sustainability and social responsibility. We can all learn from them.
Such an amazing visit to a country full of wonderful people. Working together with a team of passionate supply chain individuals and excellent event organizers for almost a year paid off in resulting in a supply chain summit that no one should miss… looking forward to next years summit in October 2025!!
Gaborone has always been good to me but this time definitely one for the books. Well done to Botswana Supply Chain Summit I definitely can’t wait for next year this time
I am so passionate about access to medicines that are of good quality and safe to use for all populations including those in low income countries and hard to reach areas. Being a speaker at the recent Botswana Supply Chain Summit in my role as the International Association of Public Health Logisticians Southern Africa Regional Lead was an opportunity to continue advocating for efforts in building quality into the end to end health supply chain through full compliance to WHO Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP).
